Hi everyone!! I hope everyone had a great break! It has been a very long time since my last post but I have met many incredible groups. Each time I meet with a group I am reassured and re-inspired that this is such an amazing campus and I love meeting all these new people. Also, I just got back from ASB Georgia with ten other wonderful people. Last week was a growing and life changing experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better spring break and I encourage everyone to look into Alternative Spring Break and Alternative Winter Experience. This is the last week before the vote and we have a lot of great events going on. Today (Monday) is the meet and great from 12 - 4 at the flagpoles. I would love to meet many more people! Next, Wednesday is the WSA Debate at 6 pm in the Bronco Mall. That will be the perfect time to see how my opponent and I differ and to hear all the different concerns of campus, or to ask your own question. Have a great week!
Hi everyone!! I announced my candidacy on Wednesday, February 6th and I began meeting with different RSOs. I’ll get everyone caught up on the cool things I have seen and then we should be up to date.
Calvary Bible at WMU:
This was my first RSO visit so I was very nervous, but excited. I actually wasn’t able to speak but I had the chance to sit and listen. I was very impressed with the dedication and passion these students showed. The weather was terrible, yet they had a great turn out. (The singers were very impressive, too). My favorite part was after we sang for a little bit, they stopped the music and asked everyone to introduce themselves to someone they didn’t know and ask them a few questions. Since it was my first meeting, I really appreciated the chance to talk to people who had been attending the meetings regularly. This experience really opened my eyes to another part of campus. Thank you Seth and all of Calvary Bible at WMU.
Sigma Alpha Lambda:
This group really got me excited about some great ideas for campus. They are very involved in many campus activities and were interested in doing even more. I had a great time dialoguing with them about ideas for making events known to more students. I’m glad I had the opportunity to meet this excited group. Thank you Sharlee and all of Sigma Alpha Lambda.
